There were two older women sitting in the front next to the seat I chose that were talking to one another. One woman was wearing casual clothing, the other had on her Sunday best; big hat, silk scarf, all white jacket with pink top and long white skirt. They were both around the same age but clearly she took church a bit seriously.
I don't know what the first part of the conversation was, so I'm doing my best to be open minded about this. But it's really hard when it's taken out of context. The church woman starts to say that she's going to NYC to go protest.
Church woman: Yes, I'm going to New York to protest because they're going to cancel a radio station, and we think it's racist. It's got a lot of good listeners and we don't want to see that station shut down, so we're going to march around to make it a big deal. But we know they won't want that because it'll get bad publicity, just like in Florida with Trayvon Martin.
my thoughts: WHAT?!?!?!?
Church Woman: Yeah, and you know that Zimmerman guy? Because of all that, they gotta keep cameras and people around him, cuz they know they'll kill him if he's left alone. Everybody wants to get revenge for that poor boy. But they need to keep an eye on him, just like what happened with that Dahmer guy. Once he was in prison and left alone, they killed him in jail.
WHOA?!?! WHAT?!?! NONE OF THOSE THINGS ARE RELATED!!! HOW DID THIS COME UP AT ALL???
And then after this, a young girl was getting off the bus wearing a loose tank top and short shorts. The church woman decided to use the power of God to judge her by immediately saying out loud "I don't like how young people dress these days. Walking around lookin' like STRUMPETS!"Wow, okay, I think if you wanted to make a statement, you could've chosen a few stronger words than "strumpets", just saying. You already connected a canceled radio station with Trayvon Martin and Jeffrey Dahmer. Just saying, this is where your illogical framing could've worked out great.
thats hysterical
